Warranty
The term of this warranty is for 1,000 miles or 30 days which
ever occurs first.
SCOPE OF WARRANTY
Subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein, only Auto Account
will repair or replace the engine or transmission. No repairs shall
be started until a work order is authorized by Auto Account. At Auto
Account’s option, damaged parts may be replaced, with like quality,
used, remanufactured or new parts. When the cost of a repair for both
parts and labor exceeds the costs of replacing the damaged unit with used,
remanufactured or new parts, Auto Account reserves the right to decide whether
the parts will be repaired or replaced. No warranty repairs will be
performed if warranty holder is behind in note payments.
- PARTS: The following internally lubricated parts
are covered by this warranty, subject to the exclusions set forth.
- Engine: Crankshaft and bearings, oil pump, internal
timing gears or chain, camshafts, camshaft bearings, valve lifters, rocker
arm assemblies and push rods, valve guides, pistons and rings, wrist pins,
cylinders, connecting rods, and distributor drive gear, and gaskets and
oil seals that must be replaced as a result of the repair of another covered part. Blown
or bad head gaskets are not covered.
- Transmission: The internal components of the automatic
or manual transmission.
- LABOR: All labor necessary to make the required
repairs is to be done at no cost to customer by Auto Account or its vendor.
- TOWING: Auto Account will tow the vehicle up to
35 miles to its repair facility, provided that the cause of the breakdown
was the failure of a part listed in Item 1. Towing in excess of
35 miles from Auto Account’s location is not covered under this warranty.
EXCLUSIONS
The following are not covered by this warranty:
- Non-lubrication failures, non-internally lubricated parts, and internally
lubricated parts not expressly listed in Item 1.
- Damage caused by accident, collision, fire, misuse, negligence, contamination,
fluid intermix or fluid loss, diagnosis, or seals and gaskets resulting
in fluid leaks.
- Any breakdown caused by lack of normal maintenance (adjustments, alignments,
tune-ups, etc.), failure to protect your vehicle from further damage when
a breakdown has occurred or failure to maintain proper levels of lubricants
and/or coolants.
- Damage due to or caused by overheating, freezing, lack of maintenance,
or failure to maintain the cooling system. Blown or damaged
head gaskets are not covered.
- Repairs necessary to maintain the vehicle in compliance with local, state
or federal emission standards or tests.
- Vehicle stalling or not starting is the responsibility of the customer.
- Failure to perform required Auto Account’s Free Maintenance Inspection
voids the warranty.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY
Auto Account’s total liability during the entire warranty period shall
not exceed three thousand dollars.
